The Laboratory of Neurogenomics at SISSA has been founded by Stefano Gustincich in 2003. A significant burst to its establishment and development has been a career development award, a 5 year special funding granted to Gustincich by The Giovanni Armenise-Harvard Foundation.
Here functional genomics is applied to describe the expression profiles of the neurons by combining different technologies, in order to investigate their contribution to physiology and dysfunction of the nervous system.
