- 2012 - PARKscreen Srl (Trieste, Italy), a biotech start-up aiming at developing innovative tools for early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease based on gene expression analysis from patients’ blood samples (Gustincich is among the founder partners). In 2011 the PARKscreen project won the 1st prize (out of 2500 participants) of the Working Capital National Award (Italian national prize for Innovation in biotechnology).
